Introducing the 2023 MyCity Gold Coast Property Report

For the last 2 decades Australia’s 6th largest major city has transformed itself from a sleepy beach town into a culturally diverse, innovative, and world class city attracting holidaymakers, students and people seeking sun, surf and a work life balance. A population growing so quickly during the pandemic that it is anticipated the Gold Coast will become the next Australian city to hit 1 million as soon as 2030. People will continue to find their way to the Gold Coast from other parts of Australia as well internationally as the borders are once again open. With an expected influx of new residents, the continued lack of housing will become a bigger obstacle, evidenced in the significantly low vacancy rate along with the astonishing capital growth over the past 2 years.

We’ve also seen the shift in more people working from home making it easier for people to live and work from the Gold Coast for it’s coastal city lifestyle with a thriving employment hub.
