The idea that we could create a simple system for people to invest in property, get on with their lives and wake up in 10-15 years being in a more financially secure position — that really excites me.
Grant Ryan
As one of the three founding Directors of Ironfish and the head of our research and property division, Grant is dedicated to seeking out premium investment opportunities for our investors. His biggest driver is helping Australian families make significant financial progress by providing the platform, strategies and services to build assets comfortably.
Grant and his team ensure all our recommended properties are subject to a rigorous selection process, supported by ongoing, market-based research and analysis. To further complement this offering, Grant developed Ironfish’s signature “Portfolio Approach” investment strategy, designed to assist investors in building a portfolio of four or more properties, targeting diversity of type and location.
With more than 23 years in the industry, Grant is widely regarded as one of Australia’s top residential market
commentators and speakers. He frequently travels around Australia, presenting the latest research and
investment strategies to a range of audiences who have come to rely on his insights and expertise. Grant knows and loves property — and this is evident when he presents. His style is engaging, interactive and compelling, through the use of humour, stories and practical applications of research and data.
Prior to Ironfish, Grant enjoyed a distinguished career with a major Australian property group – working alongside Susanne Anderson, and with Joseph Chou as General Manager. In 2006, Grant established Ironfish together with Joseph and Susanne; the three have now been working together for over 18 years.
Grant takes utmost pride in the Ironfish brand and its reputation in the market; investing considerable time and energy in developing lasting relationships with leading developers to ensure our customers continue to enjoy preferential access to quality properties across Australia.
Having embarked on a remarkable personal journey, initially pursuing law, then creative arts and eventually property investment, Grant is always hungry for ideas and continues to be inspired by stories of success and personal development. When he isn’t working, Grant spends as much time with his family as possible; enjoying a game of tennis, golf or watching a Swans game with his kids.
